All About the Gladioli Flower
The gladioli is a beautiful flower, it actually gets its name from a Latin word gladius, which means sword. These flowers can also be called the sword lily because of the way that they look. Surprisingly enough, the gladioli is the office flower of the Gladiators. This is a beautiful flower; however, with the floral meaning you need to be careful who you are giving it to. A lot of people overlook floral meanings because of what the flower stands for, but it is important to understand what it means. With the gladioli, it can mean two things, it can be a symbol of sincerity, or it can be a degree of exasperation.

The Gladioli is a flower that grows in Europe, but in the Mediterranean part of Europe, it also can be found in Tropical Africa, Asia, and South Africa. There are about 260 different species of the gladioli and the majorities are from South Africa. With the flower, you get a stem that is generally fairly narrow and it almost looks like a blade of grass. The flowers are very aromatic and they are basically forming up the stem, so there will be multiple blooms on one stem. They can grow fairly tall and they are a great looking flower, the majority of them come in a pink color or even a white, but there are different species that come in more unique colors.

You will find that this is a perennial herb and it needs a more temperate climate. They are something that is going to need a good bit of water and they are going to have to have drainage so that they can properly get rid of the water that they need. This flower will grow and flower great as long as it can have the climate that it needs, with the right climate it will flourish and look incredible.
